Nowadays An Increasing Number Of People Are Changing Their Career During Their Working Life Period

Sample essay

A lot of people now change careers frequently. This could be due to several reasons. For example, they may be unhappy with their remuneration or the working conditions. Or they may have received a better job offer. In my opinion, there are both positive and negative aspects to changing jobs frequently.

People change their jobs when they are not happy with their salary. The salary they receive probably is not commensurate with their qualifications. In this case, they will quit as soon as they find a better opportunity. Lack of job satisfaction is another reason for many people to choose a different company or an altogether new career. On average people spend 8 to 10 hours at the workplace. If they are not happy with the nature of their job or the working conditions, they will want to find another job.

Changing jobs frequently can be good or bad depending upon the circumstances leading to it. If an employee receives a better job offer, they have every reason to grab it and in this case, it is positive. This is also an opportunity for them to acquire new skills. However, sometimes job hopping is a reflection of an employee’s inability to stay loyal to the company. For this reason, employees who frequently change jobs are almost never considered for promotions. Companies want people who stay with them. Therefore, in the long term, job hopping may prove disadvantageous for the employee because it affects their ability to climb up the corporate ladder.

To sum up, people are changing jobs because they want to earn more money or acquire new skills. In either case, job hopping has both positive and negative aspects.
