Sample report

The given diagram shows the fire exit plan of a college hostel. There are seven bedrooms on the floor. They all open to a corridor. In the event of fire there are two ways for students to exit the hostel. For students occupying bedrooms 1, 2 and 3, the easiest way to exit the hostel is via the stairs on the left side. The meeting point 1 is just outside the stairs and getting there is easier for students of bedroom 1 and 3. Those in bedroom 2 have to walk slightly more distance to access the stairs. The stairs on upper right cater to students of bedrooms 4, 5, 6 and 7. There is also a lift adjacent to these stairs. While students in bedrooms 4 and 5 can easily access these stairs and get to the meeting point 2 just outside it, students of bedrooms 6 and 7 are farther away from the stairs. In fact, they are at the same distance from both the stairs.
