On a recent holiday, you lost a valuable item. Fortunately, you have travel insurance to cover the cost of anything you lost.
Write a letter to the manager of your insurance company. In your letter, you have to:
- describe the item you lost
- explain how you lost it
- tell the insurance company what you would like them to do

Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to make a claim for a valuable item I lost in on a recent trip to Haridwar. Let me explain how this unfortunate incident occurred.
The item that I lost is my Nikon 70-300mm telephoto lens. It is worth around Rs. 2 lacs. I am an avid photographer and take my camera with me whenever I go on holidays. This time around, I was trying to capture the sunset from the bridge over the river Ganga. I had placed the lens over the edge of the wall to mount it on my camera. Unfortunately, my dog suddenly jumped on it. He probably thought that it was his chew toy. He didn’t fell into the river but the lens did and got washed away.
I would like you to process my claim as soon as possible. This will help me to purchase a second hand lens which is available at a discounted rate on Amazon.
