I was excited to see your invitation for the party you are hosting on the 28th of January, but unfortunately, I can’t make it. I have an exam on that date and honestly, I haven’t started studying yet.
The syllabus is vast and at the same time it’s too technical. Obviously, I’ll have to put in a great deal of time to study. I sometimes wonder why I chose to study Business Analytics. Anyway, I am really unhappy about my inability to come. I even bought a pair of new jeans and t-shirt for your party, but now I have to wait for another chance to wear them.
I hope you have a great party despite my absence. I’m extremely sorry for informing you so late and ruining your night. While my exam was supposed to be conducted a couple of weeks ago, due to some reasons the university had to postpone it. I thought that I would be able to finish my exams before your party, and that’s why I didn’t tell you anything about it. I got to know about the revised dates today and I was upset as they clash with the date of the party.
I would like to suggest that we meet after my exams. My last exam is on the 3rd of February and I’m free after that. How about catching up for a movie? Our favourite movie franchise “Thor” is releasing on the 5th of February and we would certainly love it.
