Band 8 IELTS letter sample

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter to express my interest in accompanying my son on the school trip the school trip to the USA. I was already planning a trip to the USA with my child but due to my busy schedule we could not travel. However, I will be available next month so it will be a great opportunity for me to join my son on this school trip.

I have visited the USA multiple times and I am very familiar with the cities that your school is planning to visit; therefore, I think I will be able to share a lot of useful information with the students going on the trip. However, I have two questions related to the trip. Firstly, what will be the mode of transportation between the cities in the USA? Secondly, are we supposed to book the hotels ourselves or will it be done by the school administration?

I really hope that you will allow me to join my son on the trip.

Thank you for your consideration.

Yours faithfully,

    Dear Watson,
My name is Shubham Kumar and I am the father of the Steve who studies in 6th class of your school. I am writing this letter in response to your notice where you are looking for the parents who can go along with the upcoming school trip to Singapore.
There are several reasons why you should consider my name in the list of parents who are allowed to go on a trip with children. Firstly, my son is the Asthma patient and he particularly needs someone for the care when he goes to crowded places.
Secondly, I was also a tour organizer at my last job. Therefore, I am pretty aware of organizing and handling the people in a crowded place. If you allow me to part of this trip it would be a great help for your teacher staff.
I just wanted to know fees and other formalities need to be done by the parents who will be part of this trip. I hope you would consider my name for this trip.
    Thank you for your consideration.
    Regards,
    Shubham

Most of the people consider that friends with same opinions are better while other people tend to differ. In my opinion, friends with different opinion have greater impact on your personality as they enhance negotiation skills along witb aurgumentative ability.

To begin with, social situations always have different aspects. For instance, deciding a movie on a weekend or having a birthday bash at club; these situations have plenty of options. Friends with different opinions will always pitch in to decide for such circumstances thus raising huge pandora to choose from.

Secondly, it just not only increases the negotiation part of communication skills but improves the listening tendency of person. This tendency will surely play a positive role in several different places like arguments in office, bargaining at a shop and in most of the married life as well.

Furthermore, It not only increases the vocabulary of certain section in your mind but it also add values to your negotiations and communication regarding every topic of life.

To sum up the above discussion, friends with different set of thought process not only helps you groom your personality but also increase the patience in you for the bigger challenges in life.

    Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing to volunteer for the three day school trip to Turkey being arranged for year seven and accompany my son Joseph.I visited Turkey last year with my husband; therefore, planned and booked everything myself.Being an over-protective mother, travelling with him would not only help overcome my fears but also make beautiful memories with him.

Let me explain my situation. Considering my recent experience of organising, planning as well as juggling flights, selecting famous eateries and having knowledge of all famous historic sites,I can provide valuable information during the trip.A full-time tour guide will be available at your service.
Could you kindly answer my queries. Which hotels are we supposed to stay in and how many cities are you planning to cover?Lastly what will be the total cost per head?I shall be more than happy to be part of this adventure and provide my services.
    Thank you for your consideration.
    Yours faithfully,
    Jenny

    Dear Sir / Madam,

I am writing you with reference to your letter about to go on a trip along offspring’s. it brought great excitement to me when received your invitation in which your school management decided to take kids on a tour to Italy.

Granting permission to taking me along will be a great add to your tour as i have been there for 5 years and explore almost overall country in depth which made me familiar to places kids must visit as Italian schools take their kids to that places too. There are adventure lands, theme parks, water rides, artificial snow land which all are sources of joys to kids.

Moreover i have some questions in my mind about trip,
first kindly tell me about destinations which we will visit so that i make arrangements as per your tour plan to avoid any embarrassment.
I.e. lack of budget. Secondly inform me about mode of transportation and accommodation.

Thank you for your time spent on reading my letter and brings into consideration.

    Your Faithfully

    Dear Sir/Madam,

School has planned for 3 days trips to travel Canada, My son Peter is studying in 7th grade, and I would like to join with the group along with my son.

The primary reason for considering me for this school trip is, I was lived in the country for 10 years and had much more exposure to the city to which the school planned for travel. I will be a valuable resource to guide the team and provide additional information, a place to visit, stay, eat and much more, as well I can act as a doctor for the kids since I specialize in the pediatric field which will be added advantage as kids fall sick when they travel to unknown climate and new culture.

I have a few questions before our travel. Firstly, How many students travelling? based on that I can arrange First-aid kits and other medications. Secondly, Visa and immigration will be organized by the school administration?

I look forward to meeting you in person if my justifications are not sufficient. Hope to see my name in the school trip list.

    Yours Sincerely,
    Student
