Dear Mr. Smith,
I am writing with regard to the recent email I received from our company’s head office in New York. The email contained news regarding a six month management training programme at our head office. I would like to express my interest for the same.
I currently have 2 years of experience as an assistant manager, and I feel this programme will enable me to develop and sharpen my skills further. I will be able to have a broader perspective in the area of management once I complete this programme.
I will try to complete my current project before leaving for the course. Moreover, my colleague Rashmi has informed me that she will take over some of my duties during my absence. I can also work on the weekends during the six month period.
I can assure you that my current work will not be affected while I am away. Hence, I request you to kindly consider me for the programme and please pass on my name to the head office for the same.
