Dear Sir or Madam
I am writing to express my interest in volunteering for your upcoming charity event. I saw your advertisement in last Friday’s newspaper.
The main reason which attracted me the most is the nobility of the cause. I am aware of the devastation the recent floods caused in the southern region of Pakistan. More importantly, I belong to the same region and I know what people are going through in this tough time.
I have been involved with several well-known non-governmental organizations doing such volunteering work for the last ten years. Therefore, I feel my experience and connections with organizations of the same kind would be fruitful for such a noble cause.
Most importantly, I am running my own well-established transport business and know pretty much the whole business community in the city. Furthermore, I can find donors and identify the most affected areas which are remote and not easily accessible.
