Band 7 IELTS letter sample
Dear Sir or Madam,
I am writing this letter to express my dissatisfaction with the purchase I made at your store. I am Lisa Willis, a resident of Kings Colony and a frequent buyer at your website.
Let me explain the concerns. Last week, I ordered a microwave oven from the Philips company which was advertised on your webpage and got it delivered two days ago. Initially, there was not any problem with it but after a few hours, it started producing a strange noise whenever its power switch is on.
To complain, I called your customer service. Though I phoned many times, I was able to connect with your team only after writing an email. I have provided all the details of the purchase as they asked. Moreover, they promised me that the equipment would be repaired by sending a technician to home.
As It’s been two days and no one has turned up, I decided to replace this with another one. I have read the replacement policy and came to know that I am eligible to do so within 15 days from the date of ordering. Hence, I request you to provide replacement for this. Additionally, I want the new one to be completely checked before packaging.
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
