Band 8 IELTS Letter Sample

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing this letter to complain about the three piece suit that I purchased   from your outlet in Bathinda on the ongoing special Diwali discount. The entire suit is full of defects. I have bought clothes from your outlet many times but I never faced an issue in the past.

As for the problems, the suit is not the right size. Although the salesman asked me to try it on, as I was in a hurry I did not do it then. However, after reaching home I realized that the jacket is large for me whereas the trousers are small. Moreover, the zipper of the trousers is not working and the stitching in many places has come undone.

I bought this suit to wear on my birthday which is on Friday. Although such problems can occur during this busy season and I should have tried it on before purchasing it, I need a resolution to this problem. I request you to either replace the entire suit or alter it according to my size.
