You live in a room in college which you share with another student. However, there are many problems with this arrangement and you find it very difficult to work.

Write a letter to the accommodation officer at the college. In the letter:

• describe the situation

• explain your problems and why it is difficult to work

• say what kind of accommodation you would prefer.

I am writing this letter to bring your attention toward the issues I am facing in my shared college / hostel accommodation.

I am an international student in the university and pursuing my master’s in finance. My whole tuition fee and living expenses have fully been sponsored by my employer. Therefore, I am trying to take advantage of this once in a lifetime opportunity and putting in my best effort to get the most from it.

However, my living arrangement does not allow me to do so. The main reason is my roommate’s irresponsible behaviour. He is organizing late night parties and playing loud music which disturbs not only my study schedule but also my sleeping pattern.

Therefore, I humbly request you to move me to another room with a like-minded student. I would personally prefer a separate room but it would be difficult due to my budget constraint. Henceforth, it would be great if you can put me up with someone from my class.
