Band 7 IELTS letter sample
I am writing to you to express my disappointment regarding the service provided by your company while shifting my furniture from Dubai to London.
The goods were shipped from Dubai on October 25th and delivered to my new address in London on November 28th, under the cargo number “A56W28”.
Although I repeatedly told the movers that my furniture were mainly antiques and require extra care, I could see they weren’t cautious enough. First of all, my antique table which I bought on my last trip to Thailand was damaged and one of its legs was broken. This table cost me a fortune, and on top of that, it is unique and irreplaceable. The TV screen is also broken. It was a Samsung 52 inch with a curved screen.
I would like your company to compensate for the damages. You should send me a new but the same model TV, or pay the equivalent cost of the same model. Regarding the table, it cost me around ten thousand dollars and although the money cannot replace the table, I would expect to receive exactly the same amount.
