Band 9 IELTS letter sample

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter in response to your advertisement for a baby sitter posted in the magazine Child Care. I am doing Bachelor’s in Psychology at Melbourne University and since the pandemic has hit the country my classes are completely online. I would like to have this job so that I can take care of my expenses while I am studying here.

Since I am the eldest child of my family, I am quite experienced in taking care of children. Both my parents used to work while my siblings were young and I was the one who took care of them. In addition, I am a cool person by nature and will take care of your child with utmost sincerity. I am quite friendly as well and your child will enjoy my company.

Since I am studying, I will get free time only during weekends and then I would like to visit some beautiful places around the city. If you don’t mind, I would love your family to join me on these trips. Also, I am a huge cricket fan and I might as well join a cricket club if I get more free time.

Thank you for your consideration.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours Faithfully,

Zeeshanali Merchant

Sample letter

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I am writing to express my interest in the job of a nanny for your kid for six months.

I have seen your advertisement in a magazine that you need someone for taking care of your six year old. I would love to do this as I like children and have been taking care of my two year old nephew since he was four months old. This is because both my brother and his wife were working and hence I took the responsibility of my nephew happily.

Moreover, I have two years of experience as a baby-sitter with five different families, and they all appreciated my work. In addition to this, I am a calm and extrovert person and easily mingle / gel with the small children which make me a suitable candidate for the job.

I am coming to Australia to visit my sister on a six month visa and hoping to spend my free time in visiting different places there. If you offer me this job, I would get a chance to earn money for myself, and learn about a new culture.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully,

Dear Sir or Madam,

I saw your advertisement for a baby sitter for your child in the local magazine and I am interested in this position.

Currently, I am doing Master’s at the University of Sydney. While it is an amazing opportunity to study here, the living expenses are rather high. I therefore want to look for some part-time job so that I can afford my rental accommodation and other living costs.

I have been studying Education for almost five years and it has equipped me with enough educational knowledge about how to take care of little children. My personality, in addition, is so outgoing and supportive that children enjoy spending time with. Also, I can dance, draw and tell stories.

I will be able to work from May 3 to November 3 this year even though I also have to finish my thesis during the period. During the free time, I would like to explore Australia.

If you are interested, feel free to contact me or call me directly on the number below.

Yours faithfully,

Nicholas

Let me explain the reasons why I am the best fit for this role. The foremost reason is that, I have done a course-work of early childcare in New Zealand. Due to this, I have command over tackling kids in various situations. Furthermore, I have around 10 years of experience as a baby-sitter. I have also worked in day-care, after-hours and with many families looking after their children. In addition to this, I have done a research study on the psychological behavior of kids.

        Please review this mam…

        Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to show my interest for the short-term Babysitter role which was published in the Brisbane local Magazine for your 6 years old child.

I would love this job as I am very fond of kids and cherish spending time with them because they bring the innocence and hidden child out of us.

I have expertise in babysitting as I am doing this task from the last 4 years. I am associated with an NGO in my native which is volunteering in an orphanage where I take care and deal with numerous children’s. Therefore, I am aware of child’s mood swings and how to entertain them in such situation.

I have recently moved to Australia on temporary basis and my main agenda is to explore and understand the culture because I am planning to shift here in the long run. If I get this opportunity to work as a nanny, then this can resolve my financial issues and in the vacant time I can continue exploring the city.

Looking forward to hear from you soon.

        Yours faithfully,
        John

Request you to please evaluate this letter:

    Ques:
Although you have never formally studied computing, you have always been interested in computers. You have just read about a computer course that really interests you, but it is only for people who have completed an elementary course.

Write a letter to the college enrolment officer. In your letter

    explain why you are writing

    describe your circumstances

ask if a special exception can be made for you so you can enrol in the course

    Ans:

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my interest in the Computer course which your college is offering for the working professionals.

I had read the article published last week in “The Hindus” newspaper regarding the benefits and pre-requisite for the Data Analyst course. I am very keen to learn this skill as it will help me improve my value in my current organization and will enhance my resume.

I am a single earner of the family and started working with a small firm as a junior accountant after completing my schooling. Therefore, I didn’t get a chance to continue my studies. I am very good with numbers and in public relationships and I think Data Analyst skills will be an add-on.

As stated above, I left my studies after high school so I don’t have any formal degree or certification in computing but since I was very fond of computers, I learned it as part of my job and now I have a good command of it. I am also a quick learner and adapt to a situation very fast, Therefore, I would like to request an exception and allow me to enroll in the course as this will be very beneficial for my professional growth.

Looking forward to hearing a positive response.

    Your’s Faithfully,
    John
