Band 7 IELTS letter sample

Dear Adam,

It’s been a long time since we last met. I am writing this letter to tell you about the new job that I
recently started.

I worked as a senior trainer at St. Stephens school of languages for ten long years and yet my remuneration was comparatively low. I somehow made peace with that amount but lately the work culture in the organisation started to change and my work became quite monotonous. However, after joining The British institute, which is a multinational firm, my life underwent a sea change. It’s been two months now and I’ve trained around fifty teachers and I travelled to almost six states in such a short time span. I am highly satisfied with the optimistic environment and handsome compensation I am getting at this place.

Moreover, the organisation has considered me to be a part of their exchange program in
Canada and I will be flying there next month. I really want to see you in person and tell you
more about it. Let’s catch up next weekend.
