Band 8 IELTS letter sample

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing this letter to inform you that the new bank card was missing from the envelope sent by your bank and I am concerned about it.

I have recently requested to open a new savings account in your bank and was expecting to receive a new debit card this week through a mail. However, the envelope was torn and the card was missing. I am worried that the card could have been stolen by someone and misused. Anyone can make a transaction with the present card balance and I would not be able to trace it.

Hence, I would like to request you to block the card with immediate effect. I would also like to know the process of getting a new card and the refund policies for any fraudulent transactions that could have taken place in the meantime.

Please give this matter your immediate attention. I look forward to hearing from you.

Yours faithfully,
