Band 7 IELTS letter sample

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Siddhi Shah and I was travelling by train (Mahanagar Express 3203) from Mumbai to Surat on 11th December 2019. I boarded the train around 7:00 AM from Mumbai and it reached Surat around 11:00 am. Upon reaching home, I realized that I had forgotten my wallet in the train.

My seat number was S3 – 17 and my wallet was kept in the storage compartment in front of my seat. My wallet is pink in colour with two black buttons on it. It houses about Rs 3000 in cash, 2 credit cards, my PAN card and 2 photographs.

Request you to kindly check with the lost and found department and help me find my wallet. Further, I have attached the registered police complaint acknowledgement near Surat railway station, to authenticate my request.

If you need any additional information, I can be reached on +91 9123456789.

Your prompt action would be solicited.

Yours faithfully,

Siddhi Shah
