Dear (first name),
I hope you doing well, I’m writing this letter to congratulate you on your engagement with Jason.
Two days ago, I saw a picture of your engagement on Jason’s profile. I must say you both were looking amazing in those beautiful traditional attires. I would have been happier if you had told me yourself since we have been friends for a long time.
I was over the moon to hear about this and I still remember our college days when you and Jason started dating each other. I always said you both make a very cute couple and I’m very happy that you’re hitched to the love of your life.
We should plan a meet up to celebrate your engagement and we’ve not met for a long time. I’ll invite Jason and some of our common college friends as well and we can go for dinner at our favorite restaurant the Reef. Please let me know if you are available next weekend.

Dear Karan,
Hope you are hale and hearty. I am writing this letter to congratulate you and your partner for your engagement. I came to know about this news from Instagram when I saw the pictures of the function of your engagement. Actually, I came to know about the invitation letter yesterday that you posted to me last week when I returned from London.
I was very happy as well as disappointed to see your invitation because I always wanted to attend all your function of marriage and I couldn’t able to attend your engagement. Moreover, I also saw the video of your dance performance with your fiancé on Instagram that you posted and it was very beautiful and you guys were looking fantabulous.
Lastly, I will definitely come to attend your wedding on next week and thus I have already booked my air tickets and done all the preparations.
