Band 8 IELTS letter Sample

Dear Sir/Madam,

My name is Kulvir Kaur. I am writing this letter to complain about the dinner I had last night at your restaurant.

I came for a family dinner at your place as it was recommended by a top restaurant website to me. Unfortunately, our experience was not at all satisfactory. Firstly, we had to wait for our table for more than 20 minutes even though we had a reserved table and then nobody was there to take our order for the next 15 minutes. Finally, we were able to order spicy noodles and grilled cheese melt but the cheese was not even melted and our noodles were cold and they were kind of sweet instead of spicy. When we complained about this, the staff said that there was nothing that they could do. We got upset and this ruined our whole evening.

I expect a full refund of the money I paid. I think you will pay attention to this letter or else I will complain to your head office.
