You Bought A Piece Of Equipment For Your Kitchen But It Does Not Work | Band 8 IELTS Letter Sample

You recently bought a piece of equipment for your kitchen but it did not work. You phoned the shop but no action was taken. Write a letter to the shop manager. In your letter:

Dear Sir or Madam,

I am writing to report a few problems with the mixer grinder that I bought from your store last Thursday. It is a ‘Butterfly’ mixer grinder of white colour. The main problem is that the grinder does not work at) level 3 which is its top speed. While testing the product in the shop, I did not test it in all 3 speed levels, but once we started using it in real time we found the defect. Another problem is that the smallest jar does not close properly and because of this the content of the jar spills out.

When I contacted your customer service I did not receive any proper response and finally after many follow up calls they promised to send a technician to rectify this issue, but unfortunately he has not arrived till now. This caused inconvenience to my family because we have not been able to use the product for the last one week.

I would request you to send a technician as early as possible, since it is so urgent for my family. If the problem is with the manufacturer, I would request you to replace this one with a defect-free product.
