Dear Mayank,
I hope you are well. I am extremely thankful to you for offering / for lending me your favourite badminton racket for my match yesterday as you were aware that I had lost my racket at the university campus.
However, I would like to apologise for damaging it while playing. I know how much you value this racket and hearing this will be immensely painful for you. While playing, I was feeling so comfortable with your racket, and was enjoying every one of my shots. During the intense match I missed a shot and the racket hit the ground and due to that one of its strings broke.
I know a few shops in my neighbourhood which specialise in mending sports gear. I will take this racket to one such shop and they should fix it in a day’s time.
I hope you can understand the situation and forgive me.
See you soon,
Raj
