Band 7.5 IELTS letter sample

Dear Sir or Madam,

My name is ……………………………. and I am a permanent member of your sports centre; I am writing this letter to complain about the inadequate facilities in the changing rooms of your centre.

Firstly, the number of changing rooms in the sports centre is not enough and during peakhours, there is a queue outside the room. Consequently, it causes a delay in starting the game. Secondly, there are hygiene issues; washrooms are not properly cleaned, and there is serious danger that it can lead to the spread of infectious diseases.

These are serious issues and they affect our game; many students do not like to use the changing room and they are forced to use this facility by nearby sports centres for a fee. Since we pay the membership fees on time, it is our right to get the proper facilities here itself.

It would be great if the management could double the number of changing rooms to twenty so that members of two teams can change at the same time. Furthermore, it will be great if the management can hire two fulltime employees to clean the changing rooms before and after use.

I hope you will consider my suggestions.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon

Yours sincerely,

Name

    Dear Sir/Madam
I am Kaushik, a regular member of your sports center. I am writing this letter with regards to express my discontent with the dressing rooms.
There are several problems in the changing room. Firstly the doors of the dressing room have no proper bolt, so it is really difficult to lock the room. Secondly, availability of rooms is inadequate as we are almost 30 – 40 members during rush hours and the rooms are only ten. Thirdly, there is no cleaner allotted in this place, most of the time the players are cleaning the area themselves.
As, we pay fees monthly, which is relatively exorbitant than other centers. Still the facilities are not up to the mark.
I would like to suggest some suggestions to alleviate these problems such as the hiring of new two staffs for cleaning or change the duty timing of the current staffs and replacement of bolts which is inevitable. Furthermore, you can extend change rooms beside the golf ground where the land is free.
I look forward to receiving your response.
    Yours faithfully,
    Kaushik raj.

    Dear Sir or Madam,
I am Maya Sharma, a new member of your sports centre. I am writing this letter to inform you about the problems in the changing room of the centre.
I joined the centre last month, since the I am having problem with the availability of the changing room and the storage facility. During the peak hours, and in weekends, we have to wait in a long queue in front of the changing room. Just three days ago, I missed by regular train as I had to wait for more than 30 minutes in getting the room. Likewise, the cupboard present are not enough for the existing members. Therefore, we are forced to share the area by two members. I am very disappointed by the service provided by your centre, as, I was assured to get the best in terms of service and facilities.
I urge you to kindly expand the changing rooms by twice its current size so that it can accomodate the members at once. In addition, I strongly recommend to add the locker and provide individual key to all the members. Until this time, I highly suggest allowing us to use the facilities used by your staffs.
I look forward to your reply and appreciate the positive move from you in providing us the facilities.

    Yours Faithfully,
    Maya

    Dear Manager,

The objective of writing this letter is to let you know that I am unhappy with changing area of a sports complex which I visit.

First of all, I would like you to address the main problem which I faced every day, is with a door lock which never works. So there is the probability of people can enter a room without knowing that someone is already there inside. Apart from this, there is no hanger to put my clothes on. Even more, I cannot keep my sportswear on the floor because it is not clean.

I am exceedingly displeased with both management and caretaker. Even though, I have complained about the issue which I have stated above to the caretaker but there was no solution to it.

Foremost, I would like you to install a new door lock for all rooms as quickly as possible along with that it will be nice of you if you advise sweepers to clean the floor twice a day for better hygiene for all of us.

I hope you will address these concerns as soon as possible.

    Yours faithfully,
    Vimal B

    Dear Sir/Madame ,

I’m Ash Browne, writing this letter to inform you on the hindrances and other inadequate facility related issues that we are facing on a daily basis with respect to the Sports center’s Changing rooms.

First of All ,Feeling privileged to be one of the oldest member of this institution and that this Sports center being one of the first and finest buildings that had provided great amenities and thus provided a level-up for Sportsmanship in this town in olden times. However an Institution with such a great history , Its sad to hear the members bickering about the lack of changing rooms and inadequate facilities for storage of valuable things of the members.

Lately , even i had faced similar issues with respect to changing rooms , Where its being overcrowded and a queue of at least 20 members are in wait for their chance to get changed especially during weekends and season times, when there are crash courses arranged for children, And also it makes us conscious of the people waiting outside , To avoid further delay, We tend to hurriedly get changed resulting in loss of earrings and other tiny accessories. In addition to this , some rooms are not properly equipped with Hooks or hangers to hang our cloths or the worst case some rooms do not even have a proper latch or a bolt to keep the door shut, which makes the experience more uncomfortable.

It would be great if the management is able to make the required changes to the facilities to provide additional room to the growing number of members and sports enthusiasts now, and that the number of the changing rooms are doubled and cleaned on regular basis. As a cost-cutting method i would suggest that the additional rooms could be opened up for the members as and when only required during peak hours to avoid over crowding and provide tiny locker facility to keep only valuable things like Phones and jewels securely by the members, This would definitely build the trust among the members.

Hoping that my suggestions are taken and that i would hear from you soon.

    Yours sincerely,
    Ash Browne
