Dear Mr. Smith,
I am writing to ask you about the possibility of changing to another course half way through the semester. I am enrolled in the Bachelor’s in Technology and Industrial Management course. I am a part-time student with a full time job.
I have already been through three months of the course but now I have discovered that the course is different from what I learned during my diploma. Also, it is irrelevant to my job. Let me explain the situation. I have completed diploma in mechatronics from the polytechnic and currently I am working in the automation industry. Studying Industrial management is not an ideal option for me as I do not have many management opportunities to deal with.
I would like to request a course change to Mechanical engineering as it covers more details about industrial automation. Would it be possible for me to move to this course during this semester itself? I believe it will not be an issue as all the modules I am doing are general modules and it is still required for the new course as well.
