Due to the massive development of social media, younger generations can easily access the internet without any supervision of adults, which in turn leads to a dangerous situation. There are several reasons for this but there are also certain solutions that can be taken to improve the situation.

Various possible courses of action can be taken in order to protect the children from dangerous situations caused by using social media. Right parenting is essential to achieve this. Young children / young people love to have fun at all times. Parents need to make children aware of the dangers online. Even if parents allow them to use the internet in their absence, they should still develop the habit of asking children about their online activities. Parents can, for example, check their browsing history to know what they are doing online. They should monitor their children. Another solution is to provide limited access to the internet.

 Before giving a mobile phone or other internet resources to their children, parents must block the unwanted sites and ensure that only limited access is available to them. Moreover, children should be encouraged to inform their parents whenever they suspect any suspicious activity going on in their social media accounts. This will allow parents to investigate it and take necessary action.
