Various possible courses of action can be taken in order to protect the children from dangerous situations caused by using social media. Right parenting is essential to achieve this. Young children / young people love to have fun at all times. Parents need to make children aware of the dangers online. Even if parents allow them to use the internet in their absence, they should still develop the habit of asking children about their online activities. Parents can, for example, check their browsing history to know what they are doing online. They should monitor their children. Another solution is to provide limited access to the internet.
Before giving a mobile phone or other internet resources to their children, parents must block the unwanted sites and ensure that only limited access is available to them.
