It is argued that rich countries should help the financially suffering nations with relief measures during the occurrence of catastrophes. This essay completely agrees with the statement because wealthy nations have a moral obligation towards the developing countries and can afford to provide help to those who are in need.
It is the duty of the wealthy group to provide a helping hand to the suffering ones. The developing nations in the world have enough resources to provide support to the countries suffering from apocalypses. During these worst times, the countries may run out of resources and may even lose a safe environment to live peacefully. Therefore, the developed countries should show the willingness to help people of affected places by sending them relief material.
Apart from the responsibility, rich countries have enough resources to help the poorer nations during the time of natural disasters. Along with fulfilling the needs of citizens’ in their own nations, the developed countries could be able to afford to provide basic amenities that people may lack in the poor countries during the weak times. Being financially stable, they can immediately and easily export emergency goods and services to the affected areas. During the massive earthquake in Indonesia a few years back, the US government supplied huge amount of food, drinking water and emergency medicines immediately in many aircraft.
In conclusion, the wealthy nations have a significant role in supporting developing countries during the time of natural calamities because it is the responsibility of affluent countries to provide help for good causes and they are financially more stable to give immediate help.
