Nowadays, the trend of visiting a place where the conditions are harsh has peaked. People often prefer going to places like the Sahara desert or the Antarctic. This essay discusses various advantages and downsides of travelling to these places.

There are two main benefits to spending a holiday at a place where conditions are tough. Firstly, it is often claimed that many people enjoy adventurous trips, and such places are the perfect choice for them. Visiting these places gives travellers the experience of a lifetime, which makes the pain taken to travel to these places worthwhile. Secondly, places with harsh conditions are generally cut off from the rest of the world. As a result of this, we hardly know anything about their culture and lifestyle. Travelling to these places enables people to mingle with natives and learn about their culture.

On the other hand, there are apparent drawbacks to visiting a location with extreme conditions. To begin with, these places can pose a risk to the health of a traveller. It is quite possible for people who visit such destinations to fall ill due to the unbearably hot or cold weather, which, in turn, can spoil their entire vacation. Furthermore, it is often argued that these trips are usually not pocket-friendly as a lot of extra arrangements need to be made for these excursions. For instance, if someone plans to explore an extremely cold place, he will have to spend a huge amount of money for buying appropriate winter clothing.

In conclusion, although travelling to difficult places is an opportunity to gain invaluable experience, such trips are not economical and they may even impact one’s health adversely.

There is no doubt that in recent years adventure tourism has gained popularity and the number of tourists who are choosing to visit the Sahara desert or the Antarctic is increasing at a fast pace. In this essay, I will discuss both the advantages sides of visiting such places for tourists.
There are numerous benefits to visit places where conditions are harsh. The first advantage is that visitors can get in-depth knowledge of those areas. For example, by visiting the Sahara desert, they can acknowledge how different species are surviving and what possibilities of life are there. This type of information is beneficial for further researches. Secondly, Such places satisfy visitors curiosity for adventure. They can feel they have done something fearless and do what others cannot do. Thirdly, They become bold and able to face such conditions in life confidently. They become emotionally and physically strong.

On the other hand, there are few drawbacks of such regions for tourists. These areas are sparsely populated and have limited facilities for adventurous. Moreover, extreme weather can be life-threatening for them. According to a general survey, around 1700 tourists lost their lives in Antarctica alone last year. Furthermore, animals like killers whales of Antarctica can attack visitors. in addition to it, these trips are expensive.

In conclusion, visiting difficult places gives valuable experience but we cannot neglect their disadvantages.
