Band 8 IELTS letter sample
Dear sir,
I am writing this letter to inform you that the problem with the changing rooms has not been resolved even after a complaint was registered about it last month.
Let me explain what the issue is about. First of all, the door of the room which is near the hall is completely broken and requires immediate attention as nobody is using it. Secondly, the air conditioner in the other room needs urgent repair as it makes a lot of sound. I would like to apprise you that I have discussed the same problems / issues earlier and was asked to be patient for a week as all workers were having holidays due to the Christmas break.
I am very disappointed as almost 15 days have passed but the issues are not solved. It seems that nobody is paying heed to my grievances. I would like you to take immediate action to resolve the above mentioned problems or else I would have to communicate with the authorities of the sports centre.
Yours sincerely,
(Name)

Dear Manager,
I am writing this letter to complain about some problems in the changing rooms of your gym. I already complained to your staff but they haven’t done anything to improve the situation.
The issue in the changing rooms is that the AC cooling temperature is set at a low degree. However, these rooms are meant to be used for changing the clothes after taking shower, so whoever is changing in these rooms feel cold and this could lead to health issues.
I had discussed this problem with your staff Mr. Aqeel. We even checked the room temperature together and he agreed with my complaint but unfortunately he hasn’t taken any action although I reminded him three times. Hence, I am requesting your kind attention to this matter. Please instruct your staff to set the AC temperature at 24 degree. Hygiene is another issue. Many users leave their dirty towels in the changing rooms. This, too, should be taken care of. Users should be instructed to take their belongings like wet clothes, soaps and other items with them as they leave.
Thank you for your consideration.
Expecting prompt action.
Yours faithfully
