Band 7 IELTS letter sample
Dear Sir / Madam,
My name is Jessica and I am writing to inform you about the issues that residents of Clover Park Town have been facing since January.
Based on the information available on the website of local Transport, there should be 15 buses running on daily day basis across region; however there are hardly 10 buses available on the route. Moreover, people have observed inadequate frequency of buses and subsequent delays in arrivals. Furthermore, senior citizens have to bear extra cost of journey and no concession has been provided to them. In addition, women and girls have not given the seat reservation and they have to travel long distances in standing position which is causing them to suffer.
There are clearly downsides visible to such issues like people have started looking around for private modes of commute and they have begun using their own vehicles which will certainly result into the downfall of revenues for public transport. In addition, many residents are seriously thinking about relocating to another city with excellent modes of transportation so there is strong possibility that the town might have fewer crowds in nearby future. Moreover, people have raised their concerns a lot of times by logging complaints on the official website of Local Transport and they are thinking about further escalations & approaching higher authorities because the transportation management has not taken any initiatives yet.
Based on the discussion with society’s senior management for addressing these issues, remedies and the most prominent outcome is to increase the frequency of buses by buying additional ones. In addition, senior citizens should be provisioned with quota along with monthly concessional passes. Moreover, dedicated public buses for women should be introduced which will empower them. In addition, it is my opinion that the electric buses should be made available to people as such vehicles are not only efficient but also require less maintenance.
It would be great if you kindly look after resolving complaints along with above mentioned suggestions.
Yours faithfully,
Jessica Martin
