It is true that natural resources such as fossil fuels and forest products are being used at an extremely fast pace. This leads to pollution and the global warming in addition to making these resources unavailable for the future generation. This essay will suggest some solutions to tackle this issue.
To begin with, excessive use of natural resources
will lead to over pollution. To explain it further, forests help to maintain the
air clean, while deforestation increases the levels of pollutants in the
atmosphere. This will lead to serious health problems in humans. For instance,
according to the recent survey conducted by WHO, pollutants in the atmosphere is one of the
important causes of chronic diseases such as cancer. To solve this, authorities
should implement rules to limit deforestation.
Another problem caused by this development is that the next generation
will not have access to these resources. To elaborate on, intensive use of
fossil fuel would lead to a scenario where it is impossible for the
future generation to extract fuels. For example, geological surveys show / have shown that the fossil fuel reserves
decreased by 15% in the last 10 years.
To tackle the Issue, government should take measures to promote
the use of green / eco-friendly energy resources
such as solar power and wind power. Currently, people stay away from these sustainable sources
due to the high installation cost but the government can solve this problem by
offering subsidy to the people.
To conclude, extravagant use of natural resources leads to environmental pollution and non-availability of resources for the next generation and to stop this lawmakers should launch rules
and encourage the use of sustainable energy resources.
