Band 8 IELTS Essay Sample

According to some people education and medical facilities should be provided free of cost by the government. This essay agrees with the argument that authorities should grant education and healthcare without any cost as it could be of great help to those who are in need and will also aid in the development of the nation.

Not all people have the same standard of living. There are some people for whom basic human rights like education and medical facilities remain a luxury. So, if authorities can provide free education and healthcare, the whole nation will enjoy the same services and hence everyone can enjoy their basic human rights. For example, a recent survey conducted by the University of Ontario found that more than 95 percent of Canadian citizens are satisfied with the free education and healthcare provided by the government.

The no cost education and medical plans will be beneficial for the nation in the long term as well because the healthy and educated citizens would certainly become valuable assets for the country in future. Eventually, these people will work for the growth of the nation as well. Hence authorities should consider schooling and medical programs without cost to be a long-term investment. For instance, the Times recently reported that people of Canada who receive free education and healthcare have contributed more than 70 percent for the country’s growth.

To conclude, if education and healthcare facilities are provided without cost by the government, it would be advantageous for the needy people of the nation and would eventually aid in the development of the nation.

One of the most conspicuous trends in today’s world is the colossal upsurge in the life expectancy rate and literacy rate. While some people are of opinion that expenditure on medical and education should be taken care of by government, the other school of thought disagrees to this notion. In my opinion, government should make the most needed services such as healthcare and education available to everyone.

There are deluge of arguments in favor of my stance. Firstly, education is not only beneficial for the individual, but also country’s economy is rocketed. Secondly, spreading education will make individuals more capable in this competitive world. It enables the countrymen’s to take the country ahead in all the fields. Finally, making education available for free will make them more satisfied and will be least likely to cross the border for better opportunities.

Another pivotal aspect is free healthcare, with free and improved medical care, life expectancy can be improved. The advancements in medical field, it has been possible to give life to prematurely delivered babies. Many lives are lost due to the unavailability of funds for people to get proper treatment of several ailments. But all this factors could overcome by government’s intervention.

To recapitulate, I strongly suggest to government to increase taxes and make basic services available to all for the benefit of individual and government both.

There is no doubt that medicines and study are getting expensive with time. Although, some believe that the government must fund health and studying industry, but I disagree with them as various compensation policies already have been introduced by the ministry.

To start, our responsibility, as a citizen, is to carefully utilize the benefits of public services, but who does that? There are government hospitals and schools present in every nook and corner of the state, however, only few of them are managed and run successfully. As an example, majority of public institutions have unhygienic conditions, which may be just a burden on our financial system. Even if these services become fully free, the corruption chaos will may wreak havoc to worsen the matter.

Furthermore, the money can be misused when medicinal services are available are zero cost. At clinics, individuals might fake illness to get free tablets that can be sold for higher price in the public sector. These kinds of instances are not uncommon in news where culprits behind these masterminds are caught by police. So, before making this decision, it should be ensured that the practice is not left derived of am exclusive monitoring team, which regularly take actions against misconducts.

In conclusion, government-aided medical and educational institutes could not be structured unless public awareness is organised, and strict guidelines are prerequisite to assure public-funded treatment and learning is not mistreated in any manner.
