The poor conduct of pupils in school is a serious issue faced by teachers nowadays. This trend is mainly due to the old fashioned teaching method and bad parenting. However, there are a number of measures that can be implemented to resolve the issue of negative attitude of children in class.

The major factor contributing to disruptive behaviour of children in classroom is the out dated teaching style. It is undeniable that young ones spend much of their day at home by using some or the other advanced technologies. Computer, mobile phone, tablet are to name a few. As a result, this causes decreased interest in school where they are made to learn by a teacher who simply narrates chapters or deliver knowledge with the help of the board and a pen. The remedy for this situation is to update the method of teaching. Schools should invest more money in high tech equipments such as computers, projectors and so on, which will enable pupils to learn in a better way creating less trouble for teachers. Moreover, proper training must be provided to teachers which will lead to interactive classroom lectures and this will result in engagement of children in the same.

Inappropriate parenting is another reason which plays a part in the misbehaviour of students in classroom. Since most of the parents are busy working or due to jobs, they end up keeping very little watch on their children. It is of paramount importance that the mother and the father should monitor their child at home and inculcate good values while nurturing them. Not only do they need to monitor them, but they should also sometimes punish to make pupils realize that the way in which they behave is not appreciated. They would, therefore, understand their mistakes and behave in class in more responsible way. This method can be easily implemented by children’s guardian as pupils spend most of the time with them.

In conclusion, irresponsible way of behaviour of students stems from old-fashioned way of teaching and inadequate parenting. Only when schools update their way of educating children and parents keep watch on the way they behave, will the issue be fully resolved.

Behavior of school going children is becoming worse. I think this is mainly due to the lenient rules at schools and family environment, but there are measures that could be implemented to tackle these issues.

One major cause of the misbehavior is the lack of strictness in schools. This is because in the majority of the schools, teachers are not allowed to punish students. As pupils are not scared of getting punishments, they are more likely to break rules, thinking that there would be no consequences. To resolve this problem, schools can implement strict rules, such as dismissal from schools based on the severity of mistakes, and extra homework to students. Although many might claim that students should not be punished, I still concede that in order to maintain discipline at school it is quite essential to control students /children by punishing them.

Unfavorable family environment is another reason for the increased misbehavior in schools. This may be due to the fact that the majority of parents are usually working late hours, leaving less time for them to spend with their children. As a result, they might not get enough time to supervise their child, which could negatively impact the behavior of a child. For instance, a study conducted by Indian Psychology Association in 2016 reported that the majority of children who are alone at home for most of their time are more likely to have a destructive behavior, which they eventually demonstrate in school. However, this negative situation can be handled by conducting regular parents-teachers meetings to ensure that guardians are also paying proper attention to their children, and discussing the steps both caretakers and schools would need to take to correct the behavior.

In conclusion, misbehavior at schools is increasing mainly due to the less stringent rules at schools, and bad environment at home. Nevertheless, strict penalties for breaking the rules can solve the former issue, and the latter can be addressed by arranging frequent meetings with parents.
