Some individuals consider working for the same organization throughout their employment to be effective for them, whereas others believe that they should switch jobs from time to time for a better experience. In my opinion, it is imperative for employees to work for several organizations for upgrading themselves with new skills and increasing their salaries.

There are different reasons for people to consider working for the same organization as the ideal approach. First, it offers them more job security. When people stick to a job, they are more likely to be considered for promotions and raises. They are also less likely to lose their job in the event of a downsizing. Another advantage of staying in the same job is that it enables people to gain more expertise in their domain and build a larger network. A lot of people also hesitate to change their job simply because they do not want to get out of their comfort zone.

On the other hand, in my opinion, working for different companies is a better idea because it allows us to find more lucrative opportunities. For example, when people switch companies, they are more likely to be offered a higher salary. By contrast, if they stay in the same job, the annual increment in salaries and other perks will be nominal. Also, working for different companies is a great opportunity for people to acquire new skills. This can come in handy if they want to switch to an entirely new career sometime later.

In conclusion, people have their own reasons to stay in the same job or switch careers. Those who seek stability will choose to work in the same company whereas those who want to acquire diverse skills will switch jobs frequently. In my opinion, changing jobs from time to time is more beneficial because it enables us to acquire new skills and improves our chances of getting a significant pay rise.

It is true that some people are comfortably settled in their workspace and refuse to switch organisations. However, there are those who like to experience change. In this essay, I will discuss both of these behaviours and share my own views.

There are certainly some benefits to sticking to the same job. To start with, people who stay loyal to a company are more likely to be promoted to higher positions. This is particularly true in sectors that value experience. Also, by working in the same company they can create a comfort zone around them. They are more likely to enjoy a good rapport with their colleagues and even seniors. This insulates them from many work related problems. In addition, loyalty is still valued by most organizations and people who choose to work in the same office are more likely to receive various perks and incentives. Better still, they are the last ones to lose their jobs in case of a recession.

On the other hand, there are many more benefits to changing jobs whenever new opportunities present themselves. The biggest benefit is the opportunity to acquire diverse experiences. When a person starts a job, it is not always possible for them to predict whether they will enjoy it or not. If, after working at a company for one or two years, they discover that this is not the right job for them, it is always better to resign and find another job. Another advantage of changing jobs frequently is that it may enable a person to get a raise or a promotion more easily. For example, if they work in the same organization it may take a low level employee several years to get promoted to a mid or high level employee. This is because organizations tend to have a hierarchal system and it is not always possible to skip the steps of the ladder. When they change jobs, however, they may get to occupy a higher position as soon as they start. Of course, this is true only in the case of highly sought after professionals with unique skill sets. Sometimes changing jobs is the only way to get the raise or promotion a person deserves. Not every organization values talent and those who find themselves stuck at a place that does not do justice to them, quitting is the best option.

To conclude, working at different places while gathering knowledge and experience is a more sensible and faster approach to reach a high position in your work-specialisation than working at the same place. This is because climbing the hierarchy at one particular place would take many-many years as it is difficult to replace the top position holders.

Band 7.5 IELTS Essay Sample

Almost everybody spends the majority of their life time working. We work approximately 40 hours a week for 35 years until retirement. Some workers prefer working at the same company all of their working life while others believe that changing the workplace often is more advantageous. Both views will be discussed in the following paragraphs before arriving at a conclusion.

On the one hand, staying in the same organization for long makes employees experts at particular skills and thus helps them grow / climb up the career ladder. For example, a financial officer can become the financial chief executive within 8 years if they work in the same company. A permanent job not only gives chances of getting promoted but also offers several other benefits and hence many people do not want to change their workplace. For instance, when they work in the same environment, employees do not need to change their routine life or travel outside of their city.

On the other hand, it is true to say that working for different organizations allows an employee to earn more experience and perspective. This means that the worker can efficiently improve their other skills. Additionally, when any workers apply for a new company, they can request higher salaries. It is one of the opportunities for employees to make progress in their work life.

In summary, both long-term and short-term jobs offer various benefits for employees. If they choose it properly at the right time and at right place, they will get the optimal outcome.

The issue of whether or not people should try to work for several companies as opposed to staying in the same organization all their working life up to retirement has grown in importance over the past few decades. Although there are some benefits not to changing a workplace, I completely believe that experiencing different organizations and positions is far more advantageous.
On the one hand, some people have a positive attitude towards working for the same corporation. From their point of view, working in a company for a long time, takes a person enough time to prove themselves to the managers. Therefore, they are very likely to get a promotion. For example, most of the senior managers in some prestigious companies are of the old employees. It is also maintained that choosing to stay loyal to a company leads to more relaxed working life. In other words, once you have worked in an organization for several years, you are stable in your position and rarely may you encounter something unusual or unfamiliar in your career.
On the other hand, I would contend that being recruited in different companies brings some worthwhile values along. In my personal experience, choosing to play a role in various organizations’ success particularly in different industries can result in gaining valuable skills which do not exist in a certain one. Most of the times company authorities appreciate this wide range of abilities in that this person is very plausible to be employed with a higher salary.
In conclusion, although there are some persuasive arguments in favor of working in the same company during working period, I believe that it is better for both individuals and companies if people tend to experience different companies.

There are a lot of disputes over the question of working experience, with some believing that having a job in the same company along the life is better, while others feel that people should try to work in different organizations. I support the second point of view.

First, the main reason for being employed by the same organization is being familiar to every sphere of this particular company. A man working in the same firm during his life has opportunity to undergo all levels of career from an ordinary worker to a member of manager stuff. Such type of career provides in a way stability. Another positive moment is that colleagues becoming friends during such a long period of time.

In contrast to the first statement, diverse experience helps to be more creative. In the process of working for several companies, a man has the opportunity to accumulate knowledge of solving the problems in alternative ways. At that point such a person with a rich practice is capable to synthesize gained in different companies experience and skills while developing decisions.

To conclude, working for the same organization is rather boring way of building career. People with such poor experience deprive themselves to try their forces and skills in different spheres. While multidimensional way of thinking built up during the work in several organizations makes our lives more exiting and meaningful.

Nowadays there are pro and contra arguments regarding better working style. Some people believe that working in same company until retirement is better than working for some different companies.

To begin with, working in a same organization for our whole working life has a lot of benefits, starting from the opportunity obtain to get promotion, which also means an increase in salary. Society believe that the longer the period we work in a company the more bonus we get. As an illustration, a programmer work in Google for five year, which means he/she were trusted and the opportunity to receive more salary and to get promotion is higher than those short-term employees.

On the other hand, working in various society also have a greater chance to socialize with more people, which to be success in a business having relationships are vital. A lot of people moving to other institutions to develop more idea and refreshing, as every one of them has different environment, this can help to generate ideas and refreshing. As an instance, a graphic designer work in a company, he or she wants to have more experience and relationships, as they want to open their own company someday, then they might look for more experience and relationship for the future.

Considering both views, I strongly believe that the working style is depend on what we want to do in the future. For those who expect to get promoted and receive stable income would be better to stay in one organization, on the other side for those who wants to create a company and generate more ideas would be better to work for some institutions.

In conclusion, people need to find their own target, and adjust them with their working style. I truly believe that if people could choose the proper way, then that would be the greatest choice.
