Nowadays, a section of the society believes that having a unique product is the key to success in business. I do not quite agree with this view. There are lots of factors which influence the customers and the uniqueness of the product is just one of them. In the following paragraphs I will substantiate my view.

To begin with, commercials / advertisements are essential to grab the attention of consumers. It influences people to buy those products. In addition, these days most of the business organizations hire celebrities as their brand ambassadors. Since people are always attracted to the stars, they never scroll down the page or switch to another channel. For example, Indian former cricket player Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the brand ambassador of the energy drink named Boost. Company sales records say that there was a dramatic growth in their sales after they began to use Mr.Dhonj in their advertisements.

Secondly, the product package and labelling have a vital role in boosting sales. Beautiful product covers may encourage people to buy and use those items. Sometimes manufacturers paste catchy captions on the cover to target consumers. Nowadays, we can see that companies are using oval and round shaped packaging to cover the product. For instance, Kinder Joy is one of the toffees marketed by Unilever company. They give oval shape and light colours to their package because babies are attracted to oval shaped things.

In a nutshell, a company cannot achieve success only by having a unique product. They also need to invest in promotions and use attractive packaging to grab the attention of the buyer.
