Different people have different sets of views regarding the best way to achieve good health/best way to maintain health and fitness. While some people believe that exercise is the best method, others opine that eating a balanced diet is more significant. I will discuss both the views in the following paragraphs along with a rational conclusion.

On the one hand, some individuals think that regular exercise enables them to live life free from diseases. When people indulge themselves in activities such as jogging, walking, cycling and swimming, they burn excess calories and this helps them to lose weight and maintain appropriate body mass index. For example, old people who regularly participate in recreational activities are less prone to obesity than those who rarely involve themselves in physical activities. Clearly, regular exercise is of utmost importance if we want to live a healthy life.

On the other hand, the other group of individuals believes that a balanced diet is more vital because it provides essential vitamins and proteins to all parts of the body. To illustrate, if people are only performing physical activities and are skipping healthy meals, they will definitely face health related problems in their lives. For instance, doctors generally state that one of the major reasons for being underweight are imbalanced diets and excessive workouts. Thus, appropriate amount of nutrients is necessary for living a good life.

In conclusion, it is certainly important to exercise regularly. However, in order to stay fit and healthy, we also need to adopt a healthy diet.
