Band 8 IELTS essay sample

According to some people the teenagers would be benefited along with the society if they decide to help people voluntarily in their free time and I completely disagree with this notion as everyone’s time and effort is equally important irrespective of their age, gender and status.

The school and college going youngsters are already under stress and pressure by pursuing their studies. In addition, they need to attend their classes, tuitions, carry out given homework, attending extra classes i.e. dance or singing in their free time, which not only consume lot of their precious time but also helps them to be competent and capable of survival through this competitive world. As compared to working professional, the schools and colleges are equally demanding as jobs and teenagers should be capable enough to overcome such obstacles. Moreover, youngsters may look towards such social activities as kind of burden, time-consuming, free service and this may end up into feeling them unimportant to society. For example, participation in social activities like helping older for road crossing, running awareness campaigns, serving free food, donating clothes and collecting funds to support social cause need tremendous amount of efforts, interest, courage and collaboration; which may or may not be possible for every youngster.

Society should not either force or pressurize teenagers for their participation in such social causes and it should always be made voluntarily. Furthermore, reward motives everyone and it considers and acknowledges the importance of everybody’s effort, time and participation and this will make others feel happy and satisfied and will encourage more participation. For instance, Utthan Trust organization allows the voluntary participation for fund donation for below poverty lines from people but also recognizes their efforts by serving them free lunch and dinner. Finally, society should seek assistance from wealthier folk and this may result into getting strong financial aid along with helping hand for crucial areas of life.

In conclusion, everyone’s efforts and survival are important, and society should not look after exploiting the youngers by expecting their participation towards social causes. Instead, they should look around for alternative ways to mitigate this need.
