Human companionship deeply affects the manner in which our brains develop right from the childhood and affects its growth patterns in adulthood. Your friend’s opinions and interests will form a deep impact on your personality. Having likeminded friends may improve self-confidence whereas having a friend who has different choices in you may teach you to respect differences in individuals. This essay discusses various views about these two types of friendships a final opinion.
Friends who have the same opinions as you do always agree to what you think. This makes the relationship very easy to be in since you do not have any quarrels or any clash of opinions. These friendships would be very effortless right from beginning as the two people coming together are highly compatible. These two individuals will share high telepathy and great level of understanding. It would be easier to make plans, stick to them and enjoy activities together. However, sometimes these friendships could get monotonous after a point of time when you realise that the other person will want what you want. Therefore, the spark and the mysterious factor in a relationship could take a back seat.
On the other hand, friends who sometimes disagree and present another opinion always keep the relationship interesting for both. Two people could develop patience trying to deal with an opposite opinion. This maintains a realistic scenario for both as in the real world no two individuals are completely alike. This type of friendship will help to develop empathy towards people who do not agree to you rather than being egoistic about your own opinion. Hence, it is more appropriate wholistically.
As per my opinion, the latter friendships are the ones that keep relationships ongoing and are better to have. The disagreements may exist, but it takes true and pure intentions to understand and resolve such disagreements. It would teach us how to build understanding and respect another’s opinion while still owning ours.
