People’s opinions differ as to whether launching one’s own business is better than being hired by a corporation or not. In my opinion, the answer to this question is not fixed and depends on each person’s individual situation.
On the one hand, it is understandable why some people opt to work as freelancers. This work style means that they can arrange their job schedule based on their own timetable rather than being restricted by the fixed timetables of employers. Consequently, they can juggle their work and personal life comfortably. For instance, with the aid of the internet and computers more and more people have started freelancing and this enables them to balance the professional and personal aspects of their life better. On the other hand, some people are the beneficiaries of working in a company. To be more specific, all of them need to pay for the basic necessities of their life such as food, mortgage and utilities.
The monthly salaries obtained from their employers enable them to pay these bills smoothly and thus live a stable lifestyle. Conversely, when they are self-employed, their earnings are not stable as they may fluctuate with market conditions, so if they fail to earn sufficient money for those life necessities, they will suffer from serious difficulties of making ends meet. In addition, the prerequisite of managing a company better is the owners’ full dedication and strong management skills, but the vast majority of ordinary people lack these abilities, so working for an organization is more suitable for them.
In conclusion, both of these two working modes have their advantages and disadvantages, so individuals should make choices on the basis of their own situation.

There has been a continuous debate about the benefits and drawbacks of being self-employed and being a salaried person. Personally I believe that being self-employed is far better than occupying a job.
Self-employed people contribute to the society especially those who set up their own ventures. When a business opens up, the door to employment also opens up. To set up a business, man force is required for the installation of machinery and construction of buildings. Labour class people get employment due to which they get a source of income to feed their children. Also, unemployed youths can be hired to carry out the company’s daily tasks. When a nation has more and more entrepreneurs, their unemployment rate will fall. However, self employment does have some downsides. The most important among them is the lack of financial security. There is no guaranteed paycheck for a self employed person.
On the other hand, many people still prefer a 9 to 5 job. The main reason why people opt to work for a company is to have a stable income and fixed working hours. People believe that these two factors are the driving force for a relaxed lifestyle. There’s nothing wrong with this. Unless there is a defined time slot at work, people can neither focus on their well-being nor can they spend quality time with their loved ones. To add to this, there is a survey which proves that people who spend time with family have less tension in life and hence live longer.
Though both aspects have their pros and cons, I firmly believe in the idea of self-employment which not only benefits the individual but also provides holistic growth to society.
