The number of TV channels is increasing day by day. Some people argue that it is positive because it allows them to have more options when choosing TV programs, whilst others disagree and think it will result in a lot of low quality TV programs. This essay agrees with the argument that more TV channels offer more choice, and this is beneficial to audience. This essay will discuss both opinions by giving examples.
It is clear that different channels cater to different people with different tastes / preferences. This is to say that the abundant category of TV programs makes it easier for audiences to choose from whatever they are interested in. For example, an Australian media survey shows that the TV satisfaction rate drastically improved by 5 times during the last five years because of the booming of program variety. Thus, I agree with the argument that more channels offer great benefits to audiences.
On the contrary, some people believe that only poor quality TV programs will come out if there is an excess of TV channels and market competition. They opine that in order to grab more eyeballs, they will have to cater to lower taste and create below standard programs. I disagree with this statement because there is not a uniformed standard to judge the quality of TV programs. For instance, according to a Chinese online TV review platform, reality shows, which are relaxing and entertaining, have become extremely popular among young generations; however, elderly audience always give negative comments on reality shows.
To conclude, the argument that the existence of more TV channels will dilute the quality of programs does not hold water because it is nearly impossible to judge programs using a single parameter. People have different tastes and preferences and when there are more channels everyone will have something to watch.
In some countries older people are being encouraged to work longer and not to retire. Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of working beyond retirement age.
Over the years, it has become more common for elders to keep working after their retirement age. This essay will explore some benefits as well as drawbacks of this trend and then will draw a conclusion.
One of the main advantages is that elderies could have a higher quality of life if they continue working as long as they want. This is largely due to the fact that retirement money is not enough to lead a happy life, mainly in developing nations. Therefore, if they keep working, not only can they fulfil their needs but also, they can spend a little extra on leisure activities. A study conducted at Harvard University found that in Colombia 80% of elderly people that worked after their retirement age, lived longer and happier because they generated their own money while they felt useful at the same time.
On the other hand, there are also some disadvantages such as they could reduce the innovation in companies. Being reluctant to change is inherent in humans, in addition, the more time someone does the same job, the less capable they are to change the way he or she works. As a result, new ideas are less likely to appear if there are no young people working in positions occupied by people who should already be retired. Take IBM as an example, only after it’s director decided to retire, they started to push the boundaries of knowledge related to technological products.
To sum up, animate elderly people to keep working after their retirement date brings some positive points like it allows them to have a better quality of life, however, it also causes some negative impact on businesses since it may slow down the innovation process within corporations. For the aforementioned reasons, I think that the disadvantages outweigh the advantages.

The internet has brought about many changes into our day to day life. Nowadays we are doing things such as mailing, contacting, banking and communication much faster. Do these developments have more advantages than disadvantages?
The internet has transformed people’s lives. It has revolutionized the way we communicate with each other, transact business, and access information. Although there are both positive and negative effects of this trend. In my opinion, the internet merits outweigh the demerits.
To begin with, the internet provides us instant access to limitless information at the click of a button. In other words, nowadays most of the students and working professionals use the web for their work or assignments. In addition, communication methods have drastically changed due to social media and technology apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Snapchat, and so on, whereas in the past it was highly difficult to interact with the people all across the globe. Interaction is not improved in our personal life but also the work atmosphere. For example, video conferencing is becoming prevalent for business meetings. Furthermore, shops and other customer services are now available online. As a result, individuals can purchase goods and services from the comfort of their home. For instance, a recent study by Oxford University revealed that 75% of the world population prefers online shopping than visiting stores as it reduces time and energy.
On the downside, there are certain disadvantages associated with this phenomenon. Firstly, excessive usage of the internet by college students lead to plagiarism. Due to this, the imagination and creativity skills of a pupil is likely to be decreased. In addition, numerous websites contain offensive content which show violent or sexual images. Consequently, parents find it difficult to control what their children watch online.
To conclude, while there are significant drawbacks to the internet, in my opinion, the merits certainly outweigh the demerits because of greater communication, availability of vast information, and online shopping.

There is a controversial issue about the quantity of Tv channels. Some people think that more channels we have more choices we have while others state that higher number of channels would affect its quality. I would agree that the number of Tv channels would not affect the way how those channels are produced. If we had a lot of choices, we would have all the rights to explore new things which we have never watched about.
On the one hand if we have so many channels on Tv, we probably will have more possibilities to find something suits to our mind. As many people are considered being different, it would rather be difficult to find something interesting if we had little number of channels. But, in the other case if we have unlimited number of channels, we would be struggling what to watch. We can spend our free time to be looking for something to watch instead doing something useful such as doing laundry and dishes.
As many people think large number of channels is good, but it would be cooler if we had high quality of theirs. Having a limited number of channels on tv allows you to keep your time and easily decide what to watch. But in the other case, we someone comes with children suddenly, and you have few cartoon channels on tv, it would be a little bit problematic to make your guests fun. Those channels you have could be not a cup of tea for your guests.
In conclusion, it worth noting that people are struggling with the number of channels and quality of theirs. I would rather agree with the fact that it would be quite better to have higher number of channels, because if affects our choice. Despite spending lots of time to see what to watch, we can choose the one we would be much more interested and intended to know.

With the augmentation and progression of communities, the variety of the level of expectation and desideratum of human-being severely are escalating. Without a shadow dubiety, one of them is nothing but having the miscellaneous and vivid TV channels. In this way, persons can freely select a channel and follow programs having the penchant for. To what extent, I agree with the former opinion, notwithstanding it might cause an adverse effect. In the following, both facets will be discussed succinctly.
On the one hand, those who are the proponent of the notion opine the increase of channels highly likely will be suitable due to having arbitrarily lots of choices among a potpourri of different items. To further address the issue, finding a medium tedious and boring, they can immediately change it. Moreover, should the number of channels increase, the diversity of programs will considerably wax. To this end, the fulfillment of the idea tends to be fanciful.
One the other hand, those who are the opponent of this idea maintain the more TV medium leads to the remarkable downturn of the quality of the programs. First and foremost, as long as a cornucopia program produces then the share of pecuniary advantage probably would be infinitesimal for each program, giving rise to dwindle of the quality. On top of that, the lion’s share majority of the time all producers to fill their conductor are coerced to deem what is extraneous to the line of the goal of the channel. As a result, the more TV channel establishes, the low qualified programs are shown.
To recapitulate briefly, who insist on having more channels declare they can select without any circumscription and always watch their desired programs. Nonetheless, the adversaries vow the quality of the program directly subject to fiscal measurements; additionally, producers more often than not are not able to present germane programs, according to the policy of their medium.

Some people claim that it is acceptable to use animals in medical research for the benefit of human beings, while others argue that it is wrong. Discuss both views and give your opinion.
Whether or not medical research should use animal testing to benefit humans has become a controversial topic. While this has allowed humanity to push the boundaries of knowledge, I think that it is hurting animals and they should not be used in any trial.
One of the main reasons some people claim that animal testing should be performed is that some medicine could harm or even kill people if is not previously tested. In early stages in a research, products are developed aiming to solve an issue, however, only after testing, scientists are able to find side effects and counter them before releasing the product to the general public. Take Medcare inc as an example, they developed a new painkiller to cure migraine in 2017. If they had not tested on mice, they would have never found that it causes cancer. Therefore, animal trials play an important role in human’s health.
On the other hand, some people feel that animal testing is cruel. This is largely due to the fact that scientists create multiple versions of the same medicine, which some of them could cause irreparable damage to the creature in which it is tested. In addition, not only it could cause extreme pain to animals, but also it could kill them. In the best case, the medicine is successful, however, the animal gains nothing from it. A study conducted at Harvard University in 2019 found that 85% of animal tests ended up in animals being hurt or even killed, which is unfair since it only represents a benefit for the human race but not for any species.
To sum up, animal testing is a crucial step in order to keep humans save. However, from my point of view this is not an excuse to expose other species to feel pain or face death, since they suffer too much and do not get any positive aspects from it.
