Trend of immigrating and settling in entirely different country is increasing nowadays. However, for majority of the population, it is argued that they live in the cities nearby their birth places. Reasons for this attitude among the people and its pros and cons will be discussed further in this essay.
Firstly, being in a familiar place creates a sense of safety and security. People and places are known and comfort zone made due to this, hardly let anybody to move out of it. Secondly, one gets privilege of parents and friends. This can help in all the phases of life. For example, whether it is to get the first job or to buy a house, it is far easier when one have enough connections. These are the reasons that keep people stick to their own country, state or city.
Although living in or close to the native place has many perks like little or no hustle for getting things done, chances to stay close to the parents and friends circle but still there are some disadvantages of it. People living in family environment don’t get real time exposure of world. This can limit their growth. Being in strange and different place, challenges one emotionally as well as financially which ultimately help the individual to grow independently.
To conclude, homely environment safeguards the individual and makes their lives more effortless. However, starting from scratch and grow independently in a distinct place, is terrible at start but worth rewarding at the end.
