It is argued by some people that those who earn a huge amount of money are the biggest achievers. However, others opine that folks who are benefactors like scientists and teachers are even more successful. This essay will discuss both views. Personally, I believe that those contribute to the society are the most successful.
To commence with, rich people are certainly successful. They can buy whatever they want. There is no luxury that they cannot afford. They can avail for themselves and their family the best healthcare. They can send their children to the best schools and colleges. In addition, rich people tend to have a higher status in the society. They are respected by all. The richest can even influence government policies. What is more, they can also contribute to the society if they want. They can donate money to various causes and make a difference. Obviously, wealth certainly makes a person successful.
On the other hand, some people claim that those who contribute to the society are even more successful. Teachers and doctors, for example, have an indispensable role in the society. Without them, no society can progress. Likewise, scientists make a huge contribution. Whatever, convenience or amenity that we enjoy today is the fruit of years of hard work put in by scientists all over the world. In fact, without their contribution, we would still be living in the Stone Age. Personally, I believe that the contribution of these people is even more valuable than that of rich people and hence I think they are the most successful.
In conclusion, rich people are certainly successful, but they themselves are the biggest beneficiaries of their success. By contrast, scientists and teachers make invaluable contribution to the society. Hence, I consider them equally, if not more, successful than the rich.
