Adverts are everywhere. Some people claim that they make us buy things we do not even need. Others counter this view. In their opinion, commercials help people to learn about new products or services that will make their life easier. In my opinion, adverts create awareness among people. Of course, they are persuasive but they do not force anyone to buy anything.

Some people say that advertisements persuade customers to buy certain products. However, this is true only to a certain extent because the advertisement only informs the customer about the availability of that product and does not force them to buy. For example, an air conditioner commercial shows the benefits of using the product, especially during summer seasons. No one is forced to buy it and it is up to the customer to decide whether they want the comfort of the AC or not.

Adverts are absolutely essential in the case of some newly released electronic gadgets. For example, a few years ago no one had heard about smart watches or assistants like Alexa. These machines are powered by artificial intelligence and can perform quite a few things on the go. Without adverts showcasing their benefits, people will never get to know about them or use them. Another advantage of adverts is that they create competition in the market and help customers get products and services of the best quality.

To conclude, in my opinion, adverts create awareness and improve people’s lives. Rather than perceiving advertisements as negative, we need to see their benefits and improve our lifestyle with the advantages provided by them.
