Keeping your workplace and home neat and systematically arranged is an art in itself. Cleanliness and organization are life skills that are worth mastering as they will always help you to excel in various domains of life. So, in my opinion, these are absolutely essential habits which one must possess or develop with time.
Cleanliness and organization skills have their own kind of subtle yet crucial role to play in our personal as well as professional life. Keeping our close spaces clean and immaculate not only gives us a sense of hygiene but it also spreads /emanates positive energy among us. Also, when people learn to keep their work desk organized, they develop the habit of keeping everything systematically arranged in their proper place and this further contributes to their personal well-being. Additionally, keeping one’s office space tidy leaves a positive impression on one’s colleagues and improves one’s professional relations.
Keeping our work desk cluttered will make it difficult for us to find files or other documents on time and this in turn wastes our productive time unnecessarily. Furthermore, these kinds of habits create a pessimistic and lazy atmosphere which not only reduces our work performance but also leaves a bad impression on others. According to a study, employees who are more inclined towards cleanliness tend to be more productive because they are more alert and focused. The same cannot be said for their counterparts.
To sum up, though the aforementioned skills sound so basic, the magnitude of their impact is higher because such habits form the fundamentals of a person. A person with a lazy attitude often leads a substandard life whereas a person with an organized life tends to be successful. Also, the cleanliness and organizational skills should be a part of upbringing as well, so children must be taught and they must learn to exercise these practices at an early age so that they can lead a healthy and vibrant lifestyle as grown-ups.
