People often debate whether explorers are better than those who seek and enjoy stability and familiar things. Some people prefer to travel to different countries and meet new people, while others wish to live in the vicinity of their birthplace and continue to live a predictable life / continue to live an ordinary life with no surprises. This essay will explore both perspectives and finally conclude with an opinion siding with the go-getters.
The first view is of extroverted people. There are innumerable benefits to this attitude, as it broadens ones minds, thus building values like acceptance and respect for other people. Studies suggest that such personalities often advocate for a global world with no discrimination amongst humans. It also boasts ones creativity. Several artists were known to be travellers for life. They discovered the world and understood the meaning of life like no other.
By contrast, some believe that stability is the key to living a meaningful life. People engaged in similar kind of work in their everyday life, often are masters of their professions. Their accuracy and efficiency is unmatched and benefits society at large. For instance, scientists who discover and innovate spend their life performing similar kinds of experiments before reaching a reliable conclusion. Some professions also demand extensive practice, like that of doctors. They are expected to learn, re-learn the mechanism of human body throughout their life. This continuous drill of doing the task again and again gives them confidence to deal with different kind of situations and challenges that may arise at the workplace.
In conclusion, both the perspectives offer enticing benefits, though in my view explorers are life-long learners and promote humankind to stand together. They help in building connections between people by introducing themselves to different cultures and traditions. They are more likely to overlook the differences and appreciate the beauty of humans and nature. However, the choice of lifestyle is personal to each individual; it may be influenced by one’s innate personality and life experiences. Therefore, staying true to oneself and excelling in their respective professions while achieving personal satisfaction is far more important.
