Band 7.5 IELTS essay sample

Some people believe that global warming is the most challenging environmental issue that we have nowadays; however, others think deforestation has more destructive effects on earth. This essay will discuss why global warming and deforestation are both harmful for the environment.

On the one hand, global warming has caused a drastic rise in temperature all over the world. It is mainly because of the high / higher amounts of radiation reaching the earth due to the depletion of the ozone layer which is caused by the emission of greenhouse gases such as carbon -dioxide and chlorofluro carbon. Because of such climatic changes, sea levels are bound to rise. For example, an article published by The Times in 2018 reported icebergs in Antarctica were melting at a higher rate than usual. If, this scenario continues increasing sea levels can cause an entire region to disappear or to be submerged. Moreover, the radiation effects can cause dreadful diseases affecting the skin and eyes.

On the other hand, the cutting down of trees on a large scale will affect the quality of air. Trees absorb carbon dioxide which emanates from the burning of fossil fuels and releases oxygen. Thus deforestation can result in high carbon dioxide levels and low oxygen levels which cause damaging effects on the environment. The high CO2 levels can actually contribute to global warming as well. Generally speaking, the effects of deforestation are usually limited to the area that has lost the forest cover. But global warming is a phenomenon which affects the living beings all over the world. If this issue is unresolved catastrophic events such as tsunamis and hurricanes can arise frequently and also make human beings vulnerable to deadly diseases.

In conclusion, deforestation and global warming are both harmful for the environment. While the effects of deforestation are limited to a particular geographical area, global warming has an impact on the whole planet. However, it is hard to say which is the worst because one thing leads to the other.

The entire world moves towards advanced technology systems which, creates an impact among living beings. Some people believe that global warming is the main reason for environmental issues, while others blame deforestation causes an environmental catastrophe on our planet. I consider that both the greenhouse effect and deforestation deteriorate our world dramatically.

On the one hand, in recent decades, vehicles and factories have been developing enormously in large cities, which produces emissions and exhaust fumes; as a result, it could trap the heat from the sun and increase the temperature. Moreover, It might be possible to melt polar ice caps, which result in flooding and droughts in most areas. Consequently, people could expect more extreme weather conditions.

On the other hand, deforestation causes erosion and the extinction of wild animals in our world. People are destroying the rainforest for their livelihood. Because of this, soil, water, and wind erosion have increased seriously in many countries; Therefore, aquifer levels might be down in many cities, and it increases water scarcity and droughts on the planet. Additionally, the cut down of dense vegetation has caused substantial habitat loss for wildlife in many countries.

In my opinion, both extreme weather due to excess carbon dioxide and demolished lush vegetation affects the water and food chain on the planet. The government could introduce strict laws to limit excess discharge from factories. Subsequently, create awareness among people on the biosphere through government campaigns.

To conclude, global warming and deforestation equally disaster our environment. It is our responsibility to maintain the rainforest to retain the water table. Moreover, We should minimize the usage of personal transportation.

Owing to the escalation in environmental threats, it is perceived by few individuals that rising in global temperature is a problematic issue; while others claim deforestation as a significant concern. This essay will elucidate the damaging impacts of both nuisances and highlight why global warming is the considerable matter of concern.

Admittedly, the unprecedented rise in global temperature has vulnerable effects on human’s lives. Since , this change not only put variant human food supplies in particular agricultural products at risk, but also the dearth in water sources; skin related diseases and the depletion in ozone layer is likely to be occurred. Consequently, the human life would be suffered remarkably, if the issue of warmer climate may continue is escalate. A study focused on global warming and its hazardous effects conducted in 2016 culminated with the opinion that the tropical areas are expected to experience environmental and economic distruption as carbon monoxide is being utilised exponentially which leads to global warming. Thereby, the above-mentioned underlying factors convince people to embarked upon that why temperature surge is the most concerned matter than any other climatic issue.

Nevertheless, despite there is several detrimental impacts of global warming, the clearnce of land and its nuisance can not be neglected as the productivity of a land is being damaged by cutting down the forest areas which exacerbate soil erosion as well. Human’s greed for expending surface dwelling and clearing forest surface is also responsible for contaminating air. Unlike the global warming, the practice of removing wood is directly integrated with the extinction of wild creatures. A recent report surveyed by the Global Wild Life Preservation Association stated that more than 30% creatures are at the brink of extinct due to deforestation. Hence, clearing woodland is significant problem which may cause some catastrophic effects.

In conclusion, this essay has examined that both global warming and deforestation are putting human life in menace. As per my perspective , existence of human is in threat because of exponential increase in global warming.Hence, it is highly conducive to promote some eco friendly practice and awareness campaign to persuade people in participating some conservational programs so that this problem can be eliminated.
