It is often argued that financial success is associated with a person’s happiness, while opponents believe that external factors also play a role in it. Although, other things like bonding with family and friends play a role in making a person happy, I believe that money is the foremost reason for experiencing happiness in life.
People believe that bonding with family brings more happiness than money because many people these days earn a hefty amount of money and yet they somewhere feel isolated from their families due to which they cannot share their problems with them. For example, many migrants earn a huge amount of money but still they do not experience happiness because they are far away from their families and relatives. However, I believe that family is very important but not being able to cater to their basic needs makes a person feel even worse.
Some believe that economic growth is linked to happiness because by this one can fulfill their personal as well as their family needs. The price of everything has risen nowadays and, therefore, to fulfill the demands and basic necessities, money is needed. One cannot experience happiness in life if their family and loved ones are hungry. For example, in India, the rich and middle-class people are happier than the people below the poverty line because they have the money to fulfill the requirements and desires of their loved ones.
In conclusion, although other factors like a well-knit family who understand each other bring happiness in a person’s life, I believe that money is a basic necessity because no one can feel happy in any way when they see their families struggling for basic things.
