According to some people, children should spend their leisure time with their parent while others think it is unnecessary. Both views will be discussed in this essay before arriving at the conclusion.
Nowadays, children have a hectic day-to-day schedule and they do not have much time to spend time with their parents. As a result, parents cannot track their children’s activity all the time. Only then can they understand each other and bond better. Because of this, some parents expect their children to spend all of their free time with them. But this will not be appreciated by children. To cite an example, Children returning from school will be more interested in playing with their friends in the street than staying at home idle with their parents. If they are forced to stay at home, then they will lose their privacy and start to hate their parents too.
On the other end of the spectrum, if the parents forced their children from the beginning to stay with them always during their free time, then that child will become introvert. Even though parents can view their child’s progress always in turn that child will find it hard to socialize with others because they were only with their parents and they were not given chance to talk with strangers. To illustrate, one of my classmates was always lonely because she was the only child of her parents and they pampered her so much and did not allow her alone anywhere. As a result, she did not mingle with anyone in the class.
To conclude, it is necessary for children to spend some time with their parents, but they should also have other activities in their free time. It is crucial / necessary for any child to be extrovert and socialize with many other people to get more exposure. Only then that child will be more energetic and enthusiastic; otherwise, they will hide behind their parents because of shyness and nervousness.
