Nowadays, dressing sense of employees is a debatable topic. Some business affirm that employees should wear casual clothes which looks smart on them, while other believe that, quality of work is more essential rather than clothes. This essay delves into the issue examine the arguments of both perspective, and give my opinion.
There are myriad reasons why companies believe that employees have to dress smartly. Firstly, nowadays clothes show personality of a individual and their attitude towards their work. For instance, the salesmen need to wear appropriate clothing because they need to talk with the customer in order to sell their products. Along with that, in high position job roles such as that of the manager and CEO of the company, they need to communicate with their client and attend lots of meetings. Therefore, in such a role, the clothing style plays a key role.
On the other hand, in some jobs employees should focus on the quality of work rather than clothes as they work on computer system they do need to interact with the client or customer. They have to do a lot of work in less time. For example, in IT companies the individual job role is writing a code, which requires lots of hard work and time. In such cases clothing style is not important.
To conclude, in my opinion, the dressing style depends on the type of position at work. Employees should wear smart dresses if they need to interact with customers or clients while in some job fields such as IT, the quality of work is more important than the style of clothing.
