Nowadays, people have the option to send their children to a unisex or mixed gender school. Even though some people prefer unisex schools to mixed schools, others have quite the opposite opinion. Personally, I believe mixed gender schools have a lot more positive aspects than single gender schools.
Students who attend unisex schools / attending unisex schools have many important benefits. Firstly, they can concentrate on their studies effectively without getting disturbed by the opposite gender. In some schools, seniors are eager to bully juniors of the opposite gender just for their own entertainment. As a consequence, some teenagers often get depressed and avoid schools. Secondly, the number of love affairs among students might be fewer in gender separated schools than in mixed schools. This is a huge advantage since youngsters destroy their lives because of not knowing how to handle their childish feelings.
Conversely, mixed schools also have their own positive aspects. To start with, children may adjust to the real world environment from a young age. Hence there will not be any surprises when they finish their secondary education and move on to the next stage of their lives. Additionally, competition would be rather high inside the class room when both boys and girls study together. As a result, all of them can succeed in their studies and confidently face their future. Due to these reasons, I strongly believe mixed schools are a better choice than single sex schools.
In conclusion, although many people argue unisex education system has more advantages, I think mixed schools offer an equal number of advantages owing to the opportunity they provide to study in a real world environment.
