Several individuals opine that schools should teach students how to give speeches and presentations. In my opinion, this is significant because it makes kids extrovert and confident, and definitely, it should be a part of schools’ curriculum.
It is necessary to make children confident in nature and expressive, and giving presentation and speeches can make it easily possible. The reason is that many kids are not able to express their ideas / concerns, and in many cases, they face adverse effects / consequences for being an introvert. If they start to express their views and ideas among their classmates, it will boost their confidence, and eventually, they will start to share and express their opinions and issues. For instance, many cases of child abuse are not registered by the authorities because the victim was not able to convey their message to the police.
Schools must include activities of mock speeches and presentations in their curriculum. This is necessary because if these topics become a part of the syllabus, students have to spend some time on delivering their speeches and making their presentations. When they express their ideas and views among other classmates and teachers, educators can easily identify those students who have trouble expressing their ideas and need special attention / coaching. Thus, it is necessary that speeches and presentations are taught in schools.
To conclude, the aforementioned points make it evident that presentations and speeches are important activities to make students confident and expressive. Therefore, schools should teach these activities and add them to their syllabuses as well.
