The given table gives information regarding the percentage of people aged 65 or above in Canada, Germany and the UK in the years 1988 and 2000. Predictions for year 2030 are also given. Overall, it can be seen that in all the three years, Germany has the highest proportion of seniors and the UK has the lowest proportion of them. In 1988, 16.32% of the Canadians were in the 65 and above age bracket. This figure rose to 20.67% by 2000. It is expected to further increase to 26.35% by year 2030. The proportion of seniors in Germany was 20.45% in 1988 and it rose to 25.32% by 2000. By year 2030, it is estimated that as much as 30.42% of the Germans will be 65 or above. Seniors aged 65 or above accounted for 14.23 percent of the UK population in 1988. There was not much change in this figure over the next 12 years. However, by 2030, the percentage of 65 plus population in the UK is expected to increase to 20.35.
