Nowadays, a number of individuals enter the institution of marriage and start a family only after they turn thirty. In my opinion, this is a favorable development as it allows individuals to enjoy their time as singles and also get financially security prior to taking up the responsibilities after marriage.

The primary benefit of getting married after thirty is that it gives sufficient time for people to enjoy their lives before taking up the new responsibilities. This is because once individuals enter the institution of marriage, they are obligated to look after their spouse, their parents and relatives too. Moreover, they have to commence thinking about their current and future plans with respect to home, savings, children etc. All these duties do not allow the individuals to have sufficient time for themselves and hence, they opt to enjoy their lives before tying the knot. For instance, in India, 55% of people take the step of getting married only after they have turned thirty as this gives them time to lead an insouciant and enjoyable life.

Another point to consider is that this trend also aids individuals to obtain a reasonable amount of time to get financially security. I believe this is of great significance as it allows them to save money so that they are capable of supporting both their married life and also the life of their children. Hence, having a financially secure life ensures a better standard of living for the couple and their children. For example, in a recent survey it was reported that 65% of people defer their marriage until thirty in order to get additional time to save wealth for their future aspects.

In conclusion, although there may be a negative aspect to getting married and having children after thirty, in my opinion, this arrangement offers a great deal of benefits to individuals because it enables them to achieve financial security before assuming the responsibilities of marriage. Hence, I believe this is a welcome development.

Does the date seen along with each essay imply the question was asked on that particular date? I just want to make sure if these are essays that have recently been asked for ielts?

No. The date merely shows that the essay was published on the blog on that day. Most of these essays are submitted by my students. I am not sure whether the topics are recent or not.
