Sleep-related issues have increased in recent years, mainly due to the specific lifestyle of the individuals and the current unpredictable situation in the world. Although there will undoubtedly be some negative consequences, people can take preventive measures to mitigate the potential problems.
The decline in sleeping time has been driven by unforeseen economic changes and social factors, causing various physical or mental diseases if not taken seriously. In other words, the unstable world situation has made working life much arduous and competitive, and those in employment are obliged to work long hours to earn a decent living to handle their ongoing costs such as regular monthly bills. Many have to do twelve hours shifts or respond to their work-related emails and texts when they should be asleep. However, if employees are well-rested, it could raise the concentration, resulting in the company gaining much more efficiency. Similarly, not having adequate sleep would increase the risk of poor health and diseases, such as influenza and migraines or depression. If they do not get enough sleep, people’s bodies get weak and susceptible to viruses. In addition, being addicted to social media would make them feel bored and isolated, weaken their friendships and relationships.
However, due to the importance of getting enough sleep, people can take action, making balance in their lifestyle. If people engage in stress releaser tasks such as yoga and meditation, it could lessen the pressure and burden of life, alleviating the amount and quality of sleep. Having determination in these activities would increase the chance of changing this practice. Moreover, being in touch with specialists might be so helpful to reduce or emit the long run hazards of less sleeping habits.
To sum up, sleep-deprived difficulties have become so common due to the current livelihood and social matters, but with responsibility and persistence, anyone can take a major role in decreasing the potentially related problems.
